FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I walk to the beach directly from the hotel?

Yes — a small shaded path starts just outside the hotel and leads you to the Cabasson beach in about 7 minutes on foot (roughly 300 metres). No road to cross, no car needed. It's one of the things guests mention most.

Is the coastal trail (sentier du littoral) accessible from the hotel?

Yes, directly. Once on the beach you can pick up the sentier du littoral, a 7 km trail winding through pine forest, past wild coves and rocky lookouts facing the Îles d'Or. Learn more about the coastal path, click here

Is the parking really free, and is it inside the hotel grounds?

Yes, completely free and inside the hotel park. It's a large, shaded lot with video surveillance. You don't need to worry about finding street parking or paying meters — it's one less thing to think about when you arrive.

Is there an electric vehicle charger?

Not yet — a charging station is planned for 2026. If you're travelling by EV, we recommend checking nearby charging infrastructure in Bormes-les-Mimosas beforehand.

Can I visit the Fort de Brégançon? It's visible from the hotel.

Yes — the Fort de Brégançon, the official French presidential retreat, is visible from the beach facing the hotel. Guided tours are available seasonally when it's open to the public. Tickets are available from the Bormes-les-Mimosas tourist office. Learn more about Fort de Brégançon, book your visit.

Which vineyard is closest, and can I walk there?

Château Malherbe is literally 100 metres from the hotel — close enough to walk in 2 minutes. Château de Brégançon is at 2 km, Château Léoube at 3 km. There are 7 estates within 6 km in total. A beautiful region for wine enthusiasts.

Can I see Porquerolles from the hotel?

From the beach in front of the hotel, yes — Porquerolles and the other Îles d'Or are clearly visible across the water. It's especially striking at sunset from the coastal path.

Is the area quiet? Is there nightlife or noise nearby?

Cabasson is a small former fishing hamlet set within a classified natural reserve — there are no nightclubs, no discotheques, no busy main road. The dominant sounds here are cicadas and the sea. Guests consistently describe it as exceptionally calm.

Is the air conditioning noisy? (I had bad experiences elsewhere.)

All rooms use a centralised air conditioning system — there is no outdoor unit or window block on your terrace. This means no rattling, no vibration, and no noise from neighbouring units. It's one of the upgrades that make a real difference to sleep quality.

Do the south-facing terraces look onto other guests' rooms?

No — the south-facing terraces (10 m²) are described as 'sans vis-à-vis', meaning no direct sightline into neighbouring rooms or spaces. You have a private, unobstructed view onto the garden and pool.

Is the Wi-Fi good enough to work from?

The hotel has Wi-Fi 6 throughout — rooms, pool, breakfast terrace. Wi-Fi 6 is the latest standard, offering significantly faster speeds and better performance when multiple devices are connected simultaneously. Remote work is perfectly viable.

What time does the pool open and close?

Pool access is available during daytime hours for hotel guests. The team can confirm exact opening times on arrival, as they may vary slightly by season. Pool towels are provided free of charge.

Can I have breakfast outside, even in cooler weather?

Breakfast is served either on the flower-decked terrace overlooking the pool, or in the indoor breakfast room — your choice each morning. Hours are 8:00 to 10:00. When it's chilly, the indoor option is right there.

Is the pool safe for children, and how deep is it?

The pool is 12x6 m with two sections at different depths: 1 m (shallow) and 2.1 m (deep). There's a deck area as well. The shallow section is suitable for families with children, but parental supervision is always the guest's responsibility.

Are there mosquitos? I've had bad experiences at other hotels in the south of France.

Several guests have specifically noted the absence of mosquitos in their reviews, and this is no accident. The hotel runs an active anti-mosquito policy: anti-mosquito devices are deployed on the premises, and all sources of standing water — where mosquitos breed — are systematically eliminated and monitored. Guests can enjoy evenings on their terrace and outdoor areas with no repellent needed.
